Wet and windy - Must be a bank holiday in England

Truly dreadful rainy weather yesterday gave way today to squally showers interspersed with sunny spells and with a strong blustery wind. With temperatures struggling to make double digits, I prevaricated all day about whether to go for a ride or not. After lunch, put off the inevitable by tinkering with another mountain bike I had picked up off ebay, putting on bar ends, water bottle cages and the like. Eventually, much to the annoyance of Mrs M, I set out about 5pm for a chilly circuit around Danehill and Haywards Heath. Felt more like early March than May and I cannot say it was enjoyable in the least - unlike the glass of Cabernet Sauvignon which greeted my return!
